Mallory was on the verge of wondering how much hassle it would be to get a concealed weapons permit. She could start wearing a shoulder holster and carrying the gun her father had given her, everywhere she went. After spending twenty minutes loitering around the front desk at the Bellagio before the concierge deigned to notice her existence, it occurred to her that having a weapon in full view might not be such a bad idea. Upon learning that 'Miss Foxworth' was in fact still in her room, the redhead took the elevator upstairs and did not think anything at all. She hoped Deanna was not around when she knocked. She had done a good job of avoiding Victoria's sire altogether, up to this point and did not want to break that streak of good luck. The familiar hallway was silent when Mallory stepped out into it. She had no idea of what time it was, having dropped the habit of wearing a watch. She counted off the identical doors until arriving at the the right number, then quietly knocked, slipping her hands into pockets as she waited. If the vampire did not answer, she was going to use her spare keycard and walk right in. ( You Rang? ) "I'm not abandoning you. You don't ever have to worry about that." Victoria's sudden insecurity was tugging pretty hard at Mallory's heartstrings and she tucked the brunette firmly against her side, dropping a kiss on her cheek, then upon forehead. "My beautiful girl." She would tell her about Sonya, but not now when Victoria was already feeling stomped on. Tonight, it would be just the two of them, and once things were better she would broach the subject. She never wanted to lie to Vicky about anything and was not going to start doing so now. "I love you, you know that?" Her fingers were still playing with the vampire's hair. Just to be touching her somehow, not even wanting it to lead to anything. "So much. Anybody who doesn't is out of their mind."
