So long, sweet Betty. [01 Dec 2006|10:27pm]
Martha Wynedale entered the police station with her lips pressed in a firm line and a photo clutched in one hand. She didn't care what Roger said, something wasn't right. It wasn't like Betty not to call or leave a note if she was going to be late, and Martha just knew something was wrong, her baby girl was in trouble.

There were two officers standing over by the counter. They were having some sort of conversation from the looks of things, but Martha was in her own little world as she approached and didn't pay much attention, focused on the young uniformed man sitting behind the counter "Excuse me, what do I have to do to file a missing persons request?"

To say Levi was elated was an understatement. Having solved the Reed case had put the Lieutenant back on his game. At this point, one could say he was ready to take on the world. Hell, hand him a gun and he'd probably have the balls to attempt a singlehanded takedown of an entire Lawfirm. But one step at a time..

The burly cop barrelled out of his office towards the main lobby, catching an eyeful of two of his officers taking up space. "Shinkewicz. Letourneau. What are you - on a lunch break?" he approached them with a disapproving frown.

"No sir, about ready to head out on patrol," Letourneau responded, then swung a hand over his shoulder at his partner. "C'mon Shinky, let's roll."

The receptionist behind the front desk cleared his throat once the two officers had vacated, and drew Levi's attention to the woman standing infront of him. "Ma'am, I'm sure Lieutenant Bowman would be more than happy to help you out."

The cop turned his attention to the woman holding the photo. "What do we got?" he asked her bluntly.

I ain't a Private Dick, ma'am. Just a dick. )

Levi didn't bother to get up. His hands began to meticulously leaf through the papers on his desk, setting the newly created report aside. "Lives to save and crimes to solve," he said in response, in almost an afterthought. "My detectives will be in touch with you. Please call me if you hear anything, extension 625."

He leaned back in his chair and looked up at her. "Have a nice day, Mrs. Wynedale."
