Julie paced back and forth in the living room of the apartment above the Lighthouse. She was making a point not to ignore Judah, and had been spending a lot of her free time with him and trying to make him as comfortable in the 21st century as she could.
It was just he seemed so helpless. There was so much he didn't know and there wasn't time to teach him everything, all she could do was give him the bare bones of what had happened over the last hundred years and how a lot of the advances worked. But there were many things that just took a lot of practice to learn and others that he never would, having not grown up with it.
She did have to admit he looked rather handsome in his jeans and shirt that she'd purchased for him when she'd dragged him up to Wal-Mart in Henderson. But he had to go back, despite the little part of her that wished he could stay.
The reason for her pacing was due to arrive any minute. She'd only met Oliver a few times, and he wasn't the most even keeled of personalities from what she'd seen. How he'd react to meeting his duplicate was anyone's guess.
Oliver got out of the rental car in front of the Lighthouse, adjusting his sunglasses on his nose. As much as Searchlight was not his favorite place to be, in some ways it was good to be out of the city for the day. If nothing else, it kept him away from the phone. He put a cigarette in his mouth and lit up, looked up at the rooms above the place. The voicemail he'd gotten had been a little disjointed, all he knew was that he was supposed to come down here and see Julie. With a sigh, Oliver walked into the establishment and then up the stairs to the living area above the bar.
( Oliver, meet Judah )
