Unable to stand the silence of her hotel room, Grace had changed clothes and taken a long walk down the Strip, her mind a black hole. Going nowhere, just needing to move before she imploded. Every now and then, her hands would twitch, clenching into fists.
Dumped. She had been dumped. Of all the fucking stupid things which could have happened...
( Seeking Relief )
( Re-Alignment )
Grace shivered deliciously when it happened, the closest thing to goosebumps she had felt in a long while, breaking out across her shoulders. She didn't see Beth disappear, but it hardly mattered. She felt her go.
Turning towards the opposite wall as she re-started the process of dressing, the vampire did see the solid surface flicker and then disappear, the effect not unlike the static from the television. The blood-stained bed was still present, but the wall was simply... Gone.
Fastening her pants distractedly, Grace took a short step towards the non-wall, squinting into darkness. What the fuck? She could see a landscape of some sort beyond it, could hear faint noises, but nothing was very clear.
She took another step, a hand lifting to reach out towards the landscape where the wall had been, but a growling noise from... Somewhere had her backing off before a misshapen visage sprang into view. Grace saw teeth and that was it before the wall solidified again, leaving a cheap painting hanging exactly where it had been.
Except now the sky in the painting was green instead of blue.
Looking back towards where Beth had exited the room, Grace picked up her shirt and slipped it on. "Way too real," she muttered. "Guess that happens when she comes and goes like that. Either that or I gotta' quit drinkin' so much."
