When It Doesn't Matter [05 Dec 2005|11:48pm]
[ mood | confused ]

Jo ambled up the strip, her riding boots making a heavy clock, clock sound against the cement as she passed pockets of noise blaring out of opening and closing doors of clubs and casinos.

People brushed by her on all sides and every now and then, a shudder wracked her form as she recalled how close her tormenter had gotten without her permission or ability to stop it.

She was trying to escape by coming back to the very city she'd been taken and rescued from, both unwillingly, and attempting to get lost in the normalcy of the tourist trade and the greed of humanity.

On an on she walked, without any intention of stopping, even if she had to go in circles for hours.

Purity allowed herself to saunter down the sidewalk at an easy stride. Green eyes catching everything happening around her, albeit with complete disinterest but catching it all the same.

Head dipped only to let hair be tussled with a soft wind that had crept up on the city streets. A few lose strands falling then into her vision but she left them. She had missed it, the random chaos that appeared to wind and slither its way around this City. The people all in it.

Taking a deep breath she smirked lightly. The stench of corruption all around her almost tangible. This was home alright. For her at least. A place where she not only fitted in but could quite literally get away with murder. What could be better than that in the world of today?

She stopped though, once booted feet carried her to the edge of the sidewalk and she gave a sweeping glance before preparing to walk across the road.

Moving all around screaming of the ups and downs pollution manifested in perpetual sound.  )

I don't mind being ogled, ridiculed made to feel miniscule, if you consider the source, it's kinda pitiful, the only thing you really know about me is... that's all you'll ever know.  )

Rather than argue Purity gave another little nod. "Right." Eyebrows were scrunched slightly to hide the way she'd obviously taken it all. "Right" It was said softer that time and she took another step backwards, walking like that for a few seconds before turning to walk into the crowd.

She'd never understand people.

Jo watched the darker woman's emotions cross her face as clearly as if she were a book. She nodded slightly and watched as the other woman stepped backwards, sighed.

She had no idea what she'd been trying to prove by confronting, and it just seemed pointless. Too many people and no one cared a bit about anyone but themselves.

She watched the younger woman go until she disappeared into the mass of humanity and then the blonde turned and went along her way with a quick step and a frown on her face that made people get out of her way without so much as a word.
