The air caught the dust that now littered the floor and blew it around William Carruthers’s feet. It danced in the sun that streamed through the window he had shot open, and Will thought that was oddly appropriate. He walked over to the window and looked at the streets of Cairo, Egypt. This had been quite a trip, quite an adventure, and he wondered if he still had a life waiting for him back in Searchlight.

------ Non Journal Entry ------
Tired eyes looked towards the clock that seemed to taunt her by ticking away the precious seconds of her life.
Jordan sighed and took to massaging her temples as she looked back at the folder on her desk. She had to wonder when work had replaced the something she had once called her personal life. She was her father's daughter, no questioning that but her father didn't work to escape an empty bed and a quiet apartment whilst Jordan did.
She wondered if she was to go after this lawyer if she'd have any support but so far she was the only agent that she knew of and her superiors had already told her that the case was to be handled carefully. She chanced another look at the information and then sighed as she rose to her feet and worked out the kinks held deep within her bones.
"Work is going to be the death of you, Jordan Elizabeth Briggs." She murmured softly as her hands started working through the long lengths of her hair. It was something her mother had always said to her, something she had never taken very seriously but she was beginning to see the sense in it. She flattened her palms against the desk and let her head hang before she lifted her chin and glanced at the time, there was absolutely no way she could go around the law firm now. Maybe she should go home, grab some sleep..
Jordan pulled her jacket back on over her shoulders and hugged the material to her figure as she decided against going home. Not like there was much there for her except for her friendship with Nyx and even then she couldn't expect him to hang out with her all the time.
"Maybe a cup of coffee will brighten up my evening," She murmured softly as she looked at her phone and saw nothing waiting for her. The only calls she got were work related and she made a choice to toss the phone onto her chair and walk out of the precinct without it.
If it was urgent, they could always reach her via her beeper.
