Bethany had spent the last hour or so testing out the blades Darian had given her. The knives had already had initial testing but that was out in the field, this was something different. The only problem was that her intended target kept moving.

"He keeps moving," Ralphael drawled as he leaned in closer to Bethany.

His breath stirred the blonde hair that lingered on the side of her neck and touched her ear. Bethany quirked an eyebrow at Ralphael's words and then decided to remedy this problem. She did this by flicking a knife into the familiar groove of her hand before releasing the blade through the air. There was a sharp cry of pain shortly followed by a strangled groan.

Ralphael's head turned and he sniggered softly as a blade protruded from the young man's hand. "Nice solution."

Bethany's lips slid into a smile before her stiletto heels clipped across the ground until she was a few inches away from the man in front of her. Two fingers caught his chin and startling red nails dug into his skin to angle his face towards her. "I'll ask you again, why are they looking for the vampire?"

"I told you! I don't know," Michael argued.

Brown eyes rolled and Bethany took a few steps back to draw another short throwing knife from around her thigh, "Wrong answer."

Purity sighed softly, her finger tips trailing across the walls as she made her way slowly down to the basement in Bethany's club. Rather than biting the proverbial bullet and calling her she had opted on just swallowing the pack of them by turning up. She of course wasn't aware that Bethany had tried calling quite a while ago, and with an ego like hers given the circumstances before hand, well, brused was an understatement.

Quietly in her own mind she was cursing Quinn. It was almost like being made to speak to someone from childhood. Months had passed and somehow, in her own head, she'd come up with the reasons of that all falling into her own faltering and opening up. That and the fact of course, that she was as stubborn as hell and couldn't pick up her cell and just call. Good combination.

Eyebrow was quirked faintly on hearing a male shriek. Pushing the door open tentatively, she stepped inside without making a noise. Closing it without turning around she pressed her back against it. Focusing intently on the rather sadistic game playing out before her. The quiet chuckle however, left her throat without asking first.

"I agree." Perfect, that awkward way had fallen on her again. It was one of those situations in which had it been anyone but the Slayer she would have just excused herself and gone after saying what was needed to be said. Ah, that friendship thing, gotta love it. Rather than saying anything completely stupid she decided to just let the silence fall gently between them.

"Nice to be agreed with," Bethany muttered over her shoulder before pausing to push the door open. A smile was given to Purity, "After you." She wrapped the door with her fingers and tipped her head. "It's about time we caught up and I've had enough of discussing the Scourge and the possible ramifications of what they may or may not be doing."

Purity felt herself smiling back in return. Not something forced or fake but an actual, rather relieved, smile. Walking into the office Purity chuckled, turning to cast a look at Bethany. "Back to opening doors for me, Bethany?" Clearly she was light heartedly teasing in a way that just came naturally to her. "It is, and I'm glad you suggested it."

"I think I can make this one exception," Bethany muttered as she followed Purity into the office and let the door swing shut behind them.
