Meeting and Greeting
Deciding on the rather large, Halloween decorated coffee shop a few blocks away, Purity snapped open her phone and dialled the number she knew. Victoria, would hopefully agree. Who didn't like decorated, dark and festively sinister cafés? The air was sharp and crisp. The smell of crumbling dead leaves and gritty street all mingled together.
Purity loved it.
The phone began to ring and she held it closer to her ear. The witch's breath blowing out in soft white puffs as she waited on the street for the vampiress to pick up.
Victoria had been supervising. Fang Noir was designed with darkened themes in mind and that date, whilst perhaps not strictly truthful, in regards to what it purported to deal with, would be a highlight. She was devising something viciously spectacular for that evening and it all needed to be planned out in detail.
Then she heard the telephone.
Still at her desk in the private sanctum of office, Vicky turned away from her computer and picked the receiver up.
"Hello?"
Purity grinned when she heard the voice, "Well hey. Listen, my friend wants to meet you, we were hoping you'd come along to the coffee shop a few blocks from my hotel. Bean Scene, you can't miss it, decorated all to hell for October." Purity stepped back as some kid ran in front of her with a mask on. His mother chasing after him and calling out.
A new friend was interested in meeting her?
How... Fun, thought Victoria, with an instinctive twirl of lengthy black tresses around one finger. An unavoidable smile coming to her lips at the suggestion of it. Vicky, though, needed to remind herself that Purity was not Deanna and would probably not be interested in bringing her pretty necks to feed on.
Probably.
It might have been as innocent as knowing what she owned. There were any number of explanations for it.
"OK..." She answered, successfully baited. "Is that tonight, butterfly?"
"Yes, it is, we'll just meet you there around..." Glancing at her wrist she remembered she didn't wear a watch. So instead she asked someone passing what the time was. six thirty. "Meet you there around eight tonight." It was clear that Purity was enjoying herself. Someone wanted to meet her girlfriend. Who knew what could happen? It would be fun anyway.
"Alright, I better get going, see you tonight, Victoria." The witch was buzzing. Someone would see that she, Purity, had someone that wanted her. It was thrilling in a sense she'd never felt it before. She hung up after wards and called Deanna, leaving her a message. "Deanna, hey... It's Purity. Listen, Victoria is going to meet us at Bean Scene around eight o'clock, I'll probably get there early to meet and greet, so if you need help getting there just call. See you then." Her cell was closed again and Purity made her way home.
